About the Speaker: 

Dr Lim Ruling CharmaineDPsych (Clinical) | Clinical Psychologist at Shan You Counselling Centre  

Dr Lim graduated with a Doctor of Psychology (Clinical) and Bachelor of Social Sciences (Psychology). She is a full member of the Singapore Psychological Society and is on the Singapore Register of Psychologists (Registration No.: 1909003). 

Dr Lim is a clinical psychologist who conducts psychological assessments and therapy. Over the past 7 years, she has trained and worked across a variety of settings, including the military service, court-mandated agencies, voluntary welfare organizations, acute hospitals, and residential homes. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Applied Behavioral Analysis, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy. She has undergone further training in the areas of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Gottman Therapy.  

Besides clinical work, Dr Lim enjoys developing and teaching psychology subjects to undergraduate students. She is also involved in research and actively publishes and presents her work in peer-reviewed academic journals and international conferences.
