Anxiety & Depression: Can Counselling Help?

March 25 2021

Shan You.

About 10% of Singaporeans live with depressive or anxiety disorders. Yet, this could just be the tip of the iceberg given that many of us may not seek help.

Have you ever felt overwhelmed by life? Do you think that you are experiencing depression or anxiety?

Feelings of sadness or emptiness are natural reactions to life’s stressors such as losing a loved one, being fired from a job or a failed relationship. Worrying about things that are important to us is also part of life’s journey. Depression and anxiety conditions happen when these natural processes are prolonged, intense and affect our daily functioning.

Join Pao-er, a counsellor at Shan You Counselling Centre (SYCC), in exploring how counselling may help with these mental health conditions. Find out more about counselling interventions for depression and anxiety and learn about how we can better support one another.

Date: 25 March 2021, Thursday
Time: 7:30pm – 9pm
Online via Zoom
Open to participants aged 18 and above only.
