Wellness Community

Shan You Couselling Centre (“SYCC”) and Cheng Hong Welfare Service Society (“CHWSS”) have collaborated their resources and partnered jointly in a project to operate a community wellness centre called Wellness Community.

Our goal is to provide social services to assist socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in the community area of Eunos, Geylang Serai and Kembangan. We are committed to helping those in need in a supportive and caring environment. Services are matched to individual’s and family special circumstances or requirements and can include financial counselling support, employment support services, health and addiction counselling, or assistance with basic needs. They may simply come to us for companionship and a comfortable zone away from the day-to-day life.

Wellness Community delivers several groups of programme modules offered individually or in conjunction with other agencies or organizations. Clients can access:

Counselling services such as those for financial, housing, mental health, relationships;
Social recreational programmes such as meal service, community events, celebrations, art group, workshops, daily coffee and snacks, etc.
Employment assistance programs such as help with resume preparation, interview skills and job retention advise; and
Daily necessities such as haircutting, or access to personal hygiene facilities, newspapers and befriending services.

The Wellness Community is located at Blk 3 Eunos Crescent, #01-2591 Singapore 400003. It is open at 9am to 6pm from Monday to Friday and on Saturday 9am to 1pm. On Wednesday afternoons, Wellness Community will be closed for staff administration and programme development.

We hope to welcome 100 individuals on a daily basis. Our work is supported through donations as well as funding through government agencies. We also work closely with organizations such as KUK Consultative Community Committee, Residence Committees and People's Association.
