Shan You is a non-profit social service organisation set up in 1995 to provide professional counselling and social care services based on the guiding values of compassion, mindfulness, morality and wisdom.
Our services are available to all in the community, regardless of race, religion and ability to pay.

Shan You is a registered society and a charity with the status of Institutions of a Public Character, and a full member of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS).

Fundraising Executive
• Assist in formulating, developing and implementing fundraising strategies
• Manage and execute fundraising projects within budget and schedule
• Raise funds by sourcing for sponsorships and donations from individuals and corporate
• Oversee corporate fundraising, including employee giving and match giving from employers
• Write proposals and appeal letters that could attract donors, including application for funding grants
• Maintain and grow database of sponsors and donors
• Assist to recruit, organise and manage volunteers to carry out various fundraising activities
• Develop and coordinate web-based fundraising and merchandise sales
• Manage community outreach and stakeholder network
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance and regulatory requirements
• Ad hoc duties as assigned

Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:
• Degree in marketing, business management or related field
• Good interpersonal skills & ability to build & maintain relationships with existing donors
• Possess a proactive attitude, drive and enthusiasm to carry out projects to conclusion
 
Core Competencies:
• Able to influence others with excellent oral and written communication skills
• Good sales and negotiation skills
• Has creativity, imagination and an entrepreneurial attitude towards fundraising
• Good organisational and project management skills

Preferred achievements / characteristics:
• At least 2 years of relevant experience, specialising in fundraising & donor relations services
• Resilient, resourceful and independent with minimum supervision
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
